

Thank you for your interest in joining the Nova Scotia Food Truck Association (NSFTA).
To become a member, you must:
Operate a mobile food truck or food wagon in Nova Scotia
Be at least 19 years of age
Provide copies of all documents required for the safe and legal operation of your truck, including:
Proof of $2M liability insurance
Current green tags or inspection report for propane/gas
Annual fire inspection reports (hoods, suppression system, extinguishers)
Valid Food Handler Certificate
Current Business Establishment Licence
Members are expected to follow our code of conduct and maintain mutual respect for customers and fellow operators.
Membership runs January 1 to December 31 each year
Fees are $180 annually
Fees are not prorated, even if joining mid‑year (our active season typically runs May–October)
We offer a growing list of negotiated discounts on a wide range of services and products. Members also receive:
A profile on our website: www.nsfoodtrucks.com, where you can upload photos and business information
Promotion through our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
Access to potential booking opportunities (you contact organizers directly to negotiate your terms)
Optional listing on the Halifax Street Food App (free to join)
Our Executive team is entirely volunteer‑run, so all membership dues go directly toward supporting and improving the Association.

Must submit payment no later than Jan 1 to Feb 28 each year $180. Late submission of payment is subject to $50 late fee.
All applicable tags, ins, lic and inspections MUST be uploaded on our website no later than May 31 each year or it will show as disqualified and result in your removal of membership and all applicable access, perks, FTANS events etc. If renewing late and pay fee, you will be required to upload all of those required documents within 1 week to be reinstated and take advantage of such.
